Participants will stay at Gomo Jena, a community dedicated to nurture, produce and promote musical, theatrical, cultural and corporate performance. Located 28 kilometers north east of Harare, Gomo Jena is easily accessible from Harare international airport. Workshops and entertainment by world-class Zimbabwean artists.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1 Welcome to Zimbabwe! Transfer from Harare International Airport to Gomo Jena. Orientation.
Day 2 Workshops: Dance & Drum. Mbare lecture and historical tour. Visit Mbare markets.
Day 3 Workshops: Music & Dance. Visit the National Gallery and stone sculpture park. Music and dance entertainment.
Day 4 Workshops: Music & Dance. Take a walking tour of downtown Harare. View cityscapes, varied architectural styles, and colorful fragrant gardens.
Entertainment by local and regional artists.
Day 5 Workshops: Dance & Drum. Visit Zambuko Cultural Center in rural Chirisere Village. Hike sacred Dindinyongwe hills.
Gaze upon ancient cave paintings.
Day 6 Workshops: Dance & Drum. Participate in activities at Kufunda Village. Take a walking tour of the village.
Day 7 Workshops: Music & Dance. Game drives and adventure at Mbizi Game Lodge. Entertainment by local and regional artists.
Day 8 Visit Oliver Mutukudzi's music center - Pakare Paye and the Mawungira Mbira Group in Norton.
Day 9 Shopping in the city center. Entertainment by Harare's top traditional and contemporary artists in music and dance.
Day 10 Transfer to Harare International Airport for departure.
Trip Extension to Great Zimbabwe – Jan. 6-9
Great Zimbabwe is modern Zimbabwe's national shrine. Explore the majestic ruins of the powerful and wealthy ancient Shona kingdom. It is one of the country's greatest historical and cultural attractions. Enjoy a variety of activities at Lake Mutirikwi including a sunset cruise, waterfalls, caves, and rock paintings. Additional cost: $720 per person
